Capcom revealed this week that they are working on a new entry in the mainline Mega Man series, due for release late next year.
Fans of the long running franchise will be happy to learn that Mega Man 11 will be a 2.5D title, featuring hand-drawn characters and environments. Mega Man has been redesigned from the ground up, and players will have to face Dr. Wily’s berserk machines in intricately detailed levels that will challenge their skills like never before.
Aside from the announcement trailer we embedded above, Capcom shared a number of screenshots showcasing the hero’s new look, as well as our ability to use the weapons of defeated bosses (Robot Masters). The company has also pledged to reveal more information in Summer 2018, and gave us a release window of “late 2018”.
