Another day, another exclusive in Epic Games’ shopping cart (ironically, their store won’t even have this function for at least six months). This time around, that exclusivity stings even more, as we are talking about the third numbered entry in the Borderlands series, a franchise with a loyal PC following that were expecting better news (and got the 2nd game to chart in the top 10 concurrent players chart on Steam over the past week, all out of hype for the new title). Sadly, good things don’t always last, so Borderlands 3 has been officially confirmed as an Epic Games Store exclusive for at least six months, which would place its Steam release date on March 13, 2020.
The original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and an all-new mayhem-fueled adventure. Blast your way through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization. Play solo or join with friends to take on insane enemies, collect loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.
This news might not come as a surprise to anybody following Randy Pitchford on Twitter, as Gearbox‘s CEO has been tweeting his full support for the Epic Games Store since its unveiling last year, alongside the now classic excuses people who don’t really care about the health of the PC platform use when downplaying users’ issues with Epic’s aggressive approach to “competition”.
