If you think about it, cats and mech suits are made for each other. Cats are very smart, like to play with anything they can see, and (sadly for them) don’t have very good hands. That’s where a mech suit would come in, of course, as a cat could control the suit’s hands to do whatever it wanted to (probably an attempt at world domination). I guess some of that went through the minds of the cool people working at doinksoft, as they have been working on Gato Roboto, a great looking Mega Man-inspired side scroller starring a cat with a mech suit.
If that got your attention, then I’m sorry to report that you will have to wait a week before you can get your hands on said cat with a mech suit game, because Gato Roboto won’t be out until May 30. But fear not, here’s a trailer to keep you busy!
Pounce inside of your cozy armored mech and set off on a dangerous trek through an alien underworld full of irritable creatures and treacherous obstacles in a valiant effort to save your stranded captain and his crashed spaceship. Tiptoe outside the friendly confines of your technological marvel and follow your feline instincts through tight tunnels and mysterious waterways to scavenge for new weapons and gear. Adventure awaits the most curious of cats in Gato Roboto!
* Explore the underground labyrinth of a deep space outpost and uncover the dastardly deeds that unfolded before your arrival.
* Blast and dash your way through enemies and obstacles in an agile mech suit to face the guardians stationed precariously throughout the base.
* Cautiously venture outside the mech and risk all nine lives to explore areas inaccessible to your bulky, mechanical armor.
* Discover secrets abound and gather new weapons and items to help open up new areas on your journey through dozens of handcrafted environments.
If you prefer to game on the go and don’t have a nifty thing such as the GPD Win, then you’ll be happy to learn that Gato Roboto will also be released for Nintendo Switch.
