Halo Infinite Delayed to 2021

343 Industries revealed today that Halo Infinite will miss its Holiday 2020 launch date, releasing in 2021 instead.

The developers have penned an open letter (which we’ll share below), explaining the reasons for this delay. As expected, the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic had a big impact on the team’s ability to launch the game this year, and I suspect that the lukewarm public reception to the recently unveiled gameplay demo’s graphics also had something to do with this delay.

PC gamers still have some more Halo in the horizon this year though, as the Master Chief Collection‘s PC port is still missing Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4.
